Top 5 image editing tips on an iPhone

While we all have a smart phone, there can often be features that we don’t realise are there. This became apparent in a content workshop we ran earlier this year (between lockdowns) where we demonstrated how to get the most from an iPhone camera.

Here are our top tips for creating killer content on an iPhone, without using fancy apps or external camera. We challenge you to see how many of these you knew of already!

Tip #1: Focus and Exposure

To access the editing panel from your camera roll, simply choose an image, click ‘edit’ in the top right-hand corner and locate the ‘dial’ looking button.

Tip #5: Cropping

For this one, head back to your camera roll and hit the ‘edit’ button again. This time choose the frame like option as shown below to crop you image in a range of different ways. Our top recommendations for social, a 4:5 size for Facebook and Instagram feeds and a 9:16 size for Facebook and Instagram Stories. Hit ‘done’ when you’re ready to save your work!
